When the exchange student arrives at the University of Passo Fundo, they should introduce themselves at the International Relations Office at UPF to present their official documents: passport with the student visa and international health insurance coverage valid for the period of their exchange program.
The International Relations Office will be in charge of student enrollment according to the previous learning agreement.
The exchange students take part in a meeting for general orientation to enjoy the exchange period and the best moments at our University and in Passo Fundo.
UPF also offers welcoming activities, such as a walking tour around the Campus; visiting important buildings such as the UPF library, labs, and gym, among others.
The exchange students also take a Brazilian Portuguese course of 45 hours a semester.
Throughout the exchange program, the student can take part in different intercultural activities, such as dance workshops, visits and chat meetings, as well as the "Night Around the World: diversity at UPF", an event that joins Brazilians, exchange students, immigrants, professors to celebrate the diversity of culture, knowledge, languages, customs, and habits.
